Cycle
Inspired by Francis Bacon and local artist Rita Maria this three-painting piece is meant to represent the cycle of life. The images are based from a bird nest I took care of and the struggles the family of birds went through the span of a few months. The contrast between black backgrounds and brighter colors accentuate the birds figure to move the viewers attention from birth to death.

Chair Design
This project was related to the concept of design to make a piece of furniture that could be used in any household. My main inspiration was Frank Lloyd Wright, specifically his barrel and origami chairs. I aimed to combine the aspects of commodity with the rounded back and the design of geometric shapes in the front of the chair. The color scheme is not necessarily set to be green, brown and white but I chose to make the digital version this way so the individual parts can be seen.

Gothic Architecture
Transitioning from furniture design I attempted to create a flat and three-dimensional building inspired by Gothic architecture. The main architectural influence was the building Neues Rathaus located in Munich, Germany along with rose window designs. My personal twist to this piece was the small banners with my initials and the abundance of triangular shapes.

Selective Soldiers
The culture of war inspired this pastel piece that is meant to depict a young soldiers. Growing up with two older brothers I experienced how scary it can be for young men to register for the selective service. I wanted to show how blind these young men can go into war and their lack of identity to those who don't know or care about people in the army.

Female Figure Drawing
Figure drawing is an important part of any art portfolio so I chose to study the figure of a female. Based on Leonardo da Vinci's anatomical drawings, my piece focuses on the body itself as opposed to the surroundings. In contrast I did not chose to reveal the inside of the body as I focused to enhance muscle definition and the natural curves of the body.
